An Invite :)

Before I begin, I just want to announce that I will forever be a band geek. :)

I'm in choir and we are having our concert next... tuesday. I think. The 8th. And I think all of you should come because we get free food afterwards and we can hang out. And because I haven't seen you guys in like... a month. So, it's going to be pretty amazing.. (even though our uniforms make me look like a weird cross between a nun and a pilgrim), but we sound good. :) So you should come. It's at 7:30. Come. Please. :)

Another thing to invite you guys to:
I'm in a play, but it doesn't show until Feb. It's a musical so you get to see me dance badly. :)

Just thought I'd throw that out there. Tell me if you're coming. Miss you all! :)

Cosmetic Surgery

No, not me, silly. The blog. (Oh wait. Should I be considering a makeover?)

If you haven't noticed yet, I decided that the blog needed a little revamping, but if you're attached to the old layout/color scheme, just comment on here and let me know. Otherwise, I'll be experimenting with templates that look remotely chaotic. I mean, this one here: paint spatters=slightly chaotic. Stretching it, I know. But if you happen to find something fitting, PLEASE email it to me! It's ridiculously hard finding a template not a) meant for a business, b) filled with happiness, butterflies, and flowers, or c) too boring. If worst comes to worst, we may just end up with a pretty blog with ribbons and hearts... Nah, I wouldn't do that to you guys. :]

Luv you all,
Kitty

GREASE ceased

The brilliant Vince Fontaine lit up the stage with his orange twed jacket last weekend. His amazing 50's radio announcer voice and MCing abilities captured the audience's imagination, likewise allowing them to see the future of this young actors career. Little did they know, this young man would be quiting his future in acting due to his extreme dislike in the consumption of his beloved social time. In fact, the completion of his mandatory performances was his complete bliss. The man now, no longer known as Vince, celebrated his terminated obligations by jumping up and down and cheering on multiple accounts. As the main charcter Frenchie stated, "Vince came home the night of the last performance and never ceased to smile," implying that Vince was overjoyed to be out of the acting business. Even Mr. Breaux would agree Vince never enjoyed being in the limelight despite his amazing stage presence and outstanding annunciation which gave him the perfect voice for a radio show host. This retired actor is now happily at home and free of thoughts concerning the devistation of play practice detroying his social life.

We're (Literally) History

Yes, I am doing my world history homework. No, I do not normally draw analogies between my reading assignment and my social life. On the bright side, I now have an excuse to, well, not do my history homework. Everything below is in chronological order. Happy reading. :]

Cady - Ancient Greece. Totally Minerva/Athena, whatever you prefer to be called, your goddessness. Why? Because you're the often the one that tells us that we look like idiots in the nicest way possible, even though the majority of us are older than you. (Then again, our maturity levels hover around the age of 5-7.) As an added bonus, you get a 8-foot statue in Greece that's covered in gold.

Mr. Breaux - Rome. (The Republic or the Empire, you choose.) Can't you just see it? Caesar Breaux, building the Colosseum, the aqueducts, and all while wearing a dress - I mean, a toga. Of course, if he had his way, the Colosseum would be decorated with cannons that randomly spurt out popcorn and streamers while singing the Irish National Anthem. Just saying.

Ariel Matcher - Shakespearean times. Not only can you act, but you just have the most dah-ling British ak-sunt. Would you prefer discussing that ov-ah tea, honey? Because you would be best buds with Will himself, he would cast you as Rosalind in As You Like It, only to have you revolutionize the role by doing all her lines in something called...rap.

Ork Dork! :] - the Renaissance. A cross between one of the gorgeous damsels (though not in distress) and Michelangelo/Da Vinci. Was Mozart during this time? Too early? Oh well. And just for kicks, let's throw in those jousting contests, since it's related to soccer... you know, the costumes, need for shin protection...no? Then how about dragons? Can't that be, like, the soccer coach?

snowchica - the '50s. Poodle skirts, the Pink Ladies.... and our beloved snowchica, who would be the Sandy smart enough to ditch Danny when he first started being a jerk, combined with Audrey Hepburn, the epitome of elegance, with a dash of the Breakfast at Tiffany's costumes. Or at least the pearls. And the huge sunglasses, which have officially been termed as "Thuper Thexy Thunglasses" (Copyright Ariel, 2007)

Almighty Toothpick - World War II. No, I don't mean the noxious gas part (jk!). Just the part where you came up with the idea for everyone to chuck cupcakes AND whipped cream. I think Japan would have surrendered if the atomic bomb had cupcakes hidden inside. And, for Erica's benefit, snappable toothpicks in five shades of neon.

Nirk - the '70s. Where else would a skintight-neon-swirled-glittery legging/leotard combination possibly fit in? (Other than in a Subway with us, of course.) And I can't say I've really seen you dance before, but for this post's sake, can we assume it involves a lot of Mr. A's disco moves? Jkjk :].

eRicA - the '90s, for really obscure but make-sense reasons, so bear with me. 1) POWERPUFF GIRLS. They're not Asian, but they've got girl power, so we forgive them. 2) Apparently, anime was pretty much "invented" during this time. Where would this world be without uber-rich host clubs and the art-stealing reincarnation of Joan of Arc? Um, well, nowhere, except for Ashley and Erica ruling the universe.

The Blonde One - modern times. Possibly distantly related to a certain klutzy character in a certain teen flick set in a certain silverware-inspired town falling in love with a certain copper-haired, sparkly-skinned vampire. Both these girls have a tendency to trip/fall on thin air, although the similarities end there. (Wait, you have a new werewolf best friend? Can I have his autograph? And a picture of his abs?)

beach girly :D - 2012. The Olympics, baby! Swimming, running, pasta eating... you'd kick our butts in a "Let's See Who Can Have The Most Cake Contest" - and you would do it while surfing and chasing the shark from Jaws. (cue music) I'm not sure which events you would decide run/swim/eat/shimmy in London, but make sure you set us up with front row tickets next to that really cute gymnastics guy. (nudgenudge winkwink)Love you all,Kitty

Wow. Long time, no see.

Okay, so I know you guys have probably forgotten my name by now. And how I ever came into contact with you guys. At Highland, everyday I get reminded of you guys. Seriously... How many life experiences can you relate to GCA nerds? A lot.

So, pretty much, I miss all of you guys. Hearing about all of your funny stories makes me wish that I could have friends like you guys here at Highland. But all I have are newspaper creepos who are convinced that I'm like the girl from Greece and one day I'm going to get the "bad boy" and become a rebel. Really, I think most of them must be on CRACK. One of the is on weed for sure...but more about that later...

Ork Dork, I have to say I never really noticed how much fun we had in bio until I got to chemistry this year, which is a class I could take as a special - ed kid and still not pass. Remember would you rather dating questions? Haha... made you think, right?

So, as a former GCA student and a member of this blogging circle, I propose a greenbelt day, where we all hang out at the greenbelt, chuck soccer balls at each other, passing cars and small children, and talk about how much we all hate Devin. Just kidding.
Whose up for it?

Love you guys! :)

  • Nirk- Dude, killing frogs with you and then talking while watching that meteor shower, I do not think I can ever forget that. That was so much fun man. Thanks again for letting me come. :)
  • Almighty Toothpick- Oh my, we have been thru a lot. I like man time at the Greenbelt (even though the ladies always appear) and remember when I broke that sprinkler? And the whole finger- thigh thing? Good times...
  • Ork Dork! :]- You are another one I have had so many good time with. We have a strong bond... My favorite memory with you was probably.... I guess right now being honest would be asking you out :) That or the time we were at the Greenbelt where I laughed so hard, I 'slipped'. Haha
  • The Blonde One- You know, yesterday you kicked me really hard with a soccer ball. But remember that one Friday... that was a good talk. I liked it.
  • snowchica- Snow, one of the greatest memories of you was you and Bree's reaction to the guy in the bushes at the park after the bomb went off. Y'all looked petrified, and it gave me a big laugh.
  • Ariel Matcher- RAPIST!! RAPIST!!! Haha, and showing up at your doorstep at 6:15 a.m. with Kass. That was great. Haha
AlriAlright guys. I have one memory with every single one of you I would like to share. It was very early in the morning at our first GCA lock-in. I realized a lot that night, and that is when I came to love you all. Thank God for Ringo's atrocious voice, making my version of 'Yellow Submarine' sound alright! Yet, 'Hey Jude' and 'Here Comes the Sun' need work. COPY PASTE THIS, DELETE MY ANSWERS, AND SHARE YOUR FAVORITE MOMENTS!!! You guys rock.

Secret Post

Alright. I do not think anyone goes on this blog anymore except for me. I mean... I know everyone is stressed and busy (except for me, obviously, or I would not be writing this late) but is that not the point of a blog, to express yourself and your feelings for others to hear? Anyway, I do not think anyone will read this for a while, but I will post anyway. I just wanna start off by saying I have the greatest group of friends, and you guys are more than I can possibly dream of. We have all had so many good times together. I could list all of you guys, and name one good memory. In fact, I think I might. Maybe soon, someday, someone else will catch on, and do the same. During these stressful times, maybe some of us forget how important it is to have a personal sanctum. Heck, what is better than a place where you can talk to all of your friends, about good things? I really wish more people would start blogging. I honestly am fine talking to myself, it keeps me un-stressed, and in a great mood. But you all know that feeling of talking to someone else, knowing they understand, seeing or hearing their honest reactions. I will post one more post after this one. It will be a list of names, and it will have a good memory I have shared with each and every one of you. I dunno, I say whoever reads this must do it. Let's show one another how much we really care for each other. I am very thankful for all of you. Y'all make my day, every day. There is not a minute that goes by that I am not thinking about this group, and how much fun we have had together. So guys, let's share these thoughts. Bring this blog back. I have tried before, and I failed, and that is my fault. I know that if I ask you guys to start blogging after one person has posted, the posts will start again. I feel that we need this guys. The closer we are in high school, the closer we are in life. I wanna be close to all of you until the day I die. Haha maybe I am a little influenced right now by Kassidy and Connors play. We'll Always, Be together!! Haha great song. Great play guys. Again, one more post to follow. Sorry if this blog is a waste of time or just sounds stupid, but I need someone to talk to, even at 11:15 at night. Laissez les bon temps rouler! And I hope they roll for a very, very long time. Later guys.

-Mr. Breaux, Barker Exude, or Derek.
