I just finished the MCC Magic of Musical Theatre Workshop. It was sooooo fun! We did a bunch of songs from different musicals. Some of the songs I was in were: That's How You Know from Enchanted, I Know Now from Snoopy, Happy Working Song from Enchanted, Show Off from the Drowsy Chaperone, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins, If I Can Dream from All Shook Up, and a huge Back to the Eighties Megamix. We basically sang and danced (with a little bit of acting) to a bunch of songs.
Besides just performing, I had a blast! I made a ton of new friends and got closer to people I already knew. When you spend at least 4 hours with people everyday for two weeks, you get to know them a lot better. Especially when no one is shy and you all act like idiots. :) We have soooo many inside jokes!
Oh my gosh! I have to tell you what me and my friend Melissa ate for dinner one day. We were at Marie Callenders with a few of our friends and our moms in between the dress rehersal and the show. Neither of us really knew what to order, so we decided to split an appetizer platter. It came and we realized everything was deep fried! It consisted of onion rings, potato skins, chicken tenders and crispy green beans. We started laughing so loud and so hard when it came. The waitress thought we were crazy. The next day at the mall we split orange chicken (which is also deep fried) and a blizzard. wow! we were hyper, which is actually good when you are performing.
So, basically I am really sad its over. I was talking to my friend from workshop on gmail today and I when I told her that I was really sad it was over, I loved what she said:
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
Sorry this is so long, and this is only a condensed version of what happened. :)
Have a great day!!
