well on wednesday, i left for this church thing. we live like the early settler's of the west. more specifically the mormon pioneers who settled utah. (im mormon) we wear dresses and aprons and bonnets and old vests. we live like that for four days. well i left early wednesday morning. we drove (all decked out in our pioneer clothing) to a place about an hour north of payson. we had lunch and then were assigned to our families. the families were made up of one "ma and pa" then one "big brother" and one "big sister". then the rest was made up of kids from 14 to 18. we had to pull handcarts which are like big wagons only with two wheels. (look them up on google). well i didnt know anyone in my family, i was the youngest, and nobody went to my school. it was ok though. i met new people and made new friends. well we pulled our handcarts for seven miles on the first night until eleven o'clock. it was very exhusting. we couldnt use flashlights and we couldnt stop. the next day we hiked for 5 miles. it was really hard. on friday we didnt hike at all and spent the day playing games and learning about the pioneers. i shot a shotgun and it hurt. badly. then finally on saturday we pulled our handcarts for 5 miles. we made it back down the trail and to were the cars were. we hadnt showered, we stunk, our clothes were dirty, and we were exhusted. it was one of the best times in my life. in total we pulled our handcarts for 17 miles. i have never had a better or more rewarding time in my life. call me if you want to know why. love yah all. im so glad to be home.
