Yesterday......

Well summer has been pretty fun so far! I havent really been that bored actually....
Like everyone in O.C is gone for various church stuff, but a few of us are still here and made the best of the situation....
Yesterday morning we all met at a park and played soccer for like an hour, and then we walked to the pool. We went through this underground tunnel (where we looked for hobos, there werent any tho -tear-)
Hmm, after that we swam.....but then we all got hungry and kelli was like dying for some chocolate so we walked to subway and ate lunch...derek and kass were pigs and ate a whole foot long sub!! lol jkkkk
From there we walked to kayla's house and randomly went in and got some water..her mom didnt even know we had seven people in her house..lol...
by that time kat had to go so we walked her to her house, and then hopped over her fense to get back to the park.
At the park we played some more soccer. Kass has like the luckiest soccer ball ever, it never got ran over, but it was in the street a lot and got realllyyy close..lol...derek like couldnt get into his head that kelli was called kelli....he kept on calling her sara, it was funny.
next we decided we wanted to swim again so we walked to my house. once we got there kelli and kat had left, so it was taylor, me, derek, kass and my friends kaitlynn (she's from another school)
we swam for a while...and had this war with water balloons. later on my mom brought out some ice cream so we ate again :)
Then everyone left, my mom took kass and derek home........
so ya...it was really fun..lol...i think we all prolly got sunburnt but thats ok! lol

i went to see this earthquake place... it was ruins but everything was all lopsided and cooooll!!!!!! anyway, i dont think this will affect mymaturity level but i met this little girl, she`s seven and in 1st grade, SHE IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND!! jk, well shes my friend and ive been playing tag with her for the past 2 days. :]] I LOVE HERRR. her brother, the fifth grader? ive been trying to hook him up with sophie. its not going so well so far because he is kinda a social reject and does not have the ability to talk. oh btw, i went to this place, and i had a TON of cake. omg japanese cake is BEAUTIFULLLL LAAAAAAAAA! so we were at a mall and i was playing tag with alice (the 1st grader), while sophie and her brother are walking behind us having a little converstaion... yupp, oh and also, were going to another hot spring. i bought a ton of little trinkets, and i feel rich in japan. i have 1080 yen!!!! (thats 10 dollars in U.S. currency)

i have a ton of other stuff ihave to tell u guys but i payed 100 yen ($1) for 10 minutes on the computer... sooo i`ll tell you guys when i get the pictures!!!

Okay, now that my last spastic attack has passed, i wanted to issue a formal appology for keeping everyone that was at the lock-in, except for Kitty, awake for the whole night. I made lots of wishes and i now have about 13 BILLION ponies, but i think it was worth it.

japan is like BROCOLI seriously, its like GREEN GREEN EVERYWHERE . well at fuji mountain it is. today i had to climb a mountain with flip flops... that wasn`t fun at all. anyway, then we got to this place... its supposedly a volcano that didn:t erupt in 3000 years. well there were hot springs in there, and we were just sitting there cooking eggs. literally. then i left mine in there too long and it exploded... it was fun to watch tho... after that i went to the `hot spring bath` it was weeeeerd. cuz u have to like get 3 towels and then take a shower before u take the bath and i got in trouble from swimming in there. yupp and like, after we were done, the ride home it was completely silent. and u know how its realllly awkward and i start cracking up... it was really embaressing...

the bad stuff: I DIDNT GET TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH EEYORE. MY FAV. DISNEY CHARACTER. AND I DIDNT GET A DISNEY TEDDY BEAR. i always miss the teddy bears T.T,　　most of the rides weren:t all that great... i couldnt reach the freaking height limit for one of htem. WHY IS THERE A HEIGHT LIMIT. GAWD

the good stuff: it was EXTREMELY amusing and i ate turkey!! and something american... PIZZA. then i went on this scary thing, it was like a scary journey through the dark, (supposedly) very scary, the only scary thing about it was.. THERE WERE BUGS EVERYWHERE. THERE WAS A COCKROACH AND A SNAKE. I HATE SNAKES. besides the ones that are smaller and very cute. then we had to watch some ppl belly dance... then one of hte ppl who were dancing dragged me up there to do this weerd polinasion thing. what was sad was that my face was so glum while i was trying to copy them micky mouse glared at me. then i got some PIRATES FLIP FLOPS :]]

Japan is... err.. interesting?

ok that was supposed to turn out as i hate planes.

So after i flew to sanfransico i had to sail to the hmm well the one that goes from sanfransico to Tokyo. it was a boring 10 hour long trip and i slept for 4 and i watched 4 movies ... the golden compass, 27 dresses, The water horse, and P.S. i love you. (dont watch the last one. ew.) after that when we were FINALLY there, i got lost on the plane. it was sooo scary, like i couldn`t find my dad or my sister... AHH. ya it was raelly scary, then i used a walkie talkie to locate them so finally i found them. Then i saw alll these asians with like, BROWN hair. They dyed it idk y but they did and it was pretty pointless cuz now it makes them look like a white wannabe. (excuse language.) Then we all had to go to the restroom and i couldn`t figure out how to lock it. then i figured it out i couldn:t figure out how to unlock it... so i had to crawl from underneith to get out.. Btw on the plane i was memorizing japenese vocabulary... and it was not very useful cuz i bumped into this japenese dude and i was like Konbonwa, meaning to say gomeneisai which meant sorry, and i started bowing. The dude had a confused look on his face and he left. Then my sister told me that what i said was goodnight and it did not work very well...
so now im in japan, and everythings backwards... but the BEST part of japan is EVERYONE is my height!!!!! hahahaha, I K its awesome. Like this supposedly tall lady wasonly 4 inches taller than me :]]

Memories of Organized Chaos

I decided that since it is the end of the year, I should compile a post of memories of Organized Chaos. Most of them will be silly and chaotic, as that is how we are. Here it goes:

The first time we all sat together because Lindsay called Colin hot.

When Cassie and Lindsay had HUGE crushes on Trent. (What were they thinking?) :)

When Madie, Amy, and Evan started sitting with us at the beginning of the second semester.

Well....its been really quiet lately around here so i feel like its my job to fill the silence...haha.....

Ok, so everybody knows that summer is going to be here in like a week. I'm totally excited about summer I just don't know how I feel about school ending. It's really weird. You know that feeling like you have a knot in your stomach when you get nervous? I get that feeling every time I think about school ending. I can't believe that I am already done with this year. I'm so sad because I think things will change next year. Like half the people at this school are leaving (Even if they aren't my friends, I will miss seeing them and their personalities everyday) And I won't have lunch with like all of my friends! Do any of you feel anything like this? You may all think I'm crazy, but it's really weird. Usually I'm totally jumping out of my chair for summer, and know I don't know if I should be happy or sad. btw, we all need to hang out over the summer! Comment!

Schools like....almost over!

So, Im kinda wondering if the blog will get quiet now....since we wont have our laptops....

Life is such as single minded thing. It wanders in every direction, stopping at points that we may find of interest. Sometimes it stops abruptly, perhaps encouraging us to stop and breathe, or maybe to see if we have the stuff it takes to go on.

Recently, I have found myself pausing at one stop, knowing that I should continue, but at the same time, unwilling to do so. I loiter, hope that something shall come out of it, give up, but somehow return, restarting the cycle.

I make resolutions, tell myself that their must be a solution, because in my analytical mind, there always is. But life has taken great pains to paint an abstract, three-dimensional block, one that cannot be explained through logic or equations. I strain to grasp it, only succeeding in puzzling myself and causing chaos with it. The answer calls through a distant curtain, as elusive as a midnight shadow.

I admit it, I'm terribly lost, and at every turn there is a sign, demanding an answer. Must I always fake a smile? Or will someday my truth be heard?

So this is a pretty pointless post. I'm only telling you that ahead of time so I don't get yelled at after you've (miraculousy) finished reading it.

So on this random Thursday, one of our science teachers decides to have a squid dissecting session. At lunch too. Yummy. Cassie (SwimGrl) and I decided to do it together, so did Johnnie and Nirk, and Lindsay and, well, who else?

Ok ok, I guess I should tell you that their "date" isn't official. Yet.

Poor Lindsay. Not only is she "going out" (that isn't official either) with Mr. Toothpick, but also has a certain red-headed flower hot on her heels. Good luck, honey.

Haleigh isn't at school today, which kind of makes me sad, since the thing I need most today would probably be sarcastic remarks on the science trip. She can turn anything upside down. (Kind of like Mr. A)

So now it's almost the end of the year. Everyone really wants school to end, but to tell the truth, I want both. That sounds weird. I want it to end, but not end at the same time.

Ack. That really was a pointless post. I'll delete it if at least three people die of boredom. Speaking of that, the other day Eric (Sean's older brother) showed me a place to play online chess. Dorky, I know, but I get so out of it that I forget stuff. And now is a good time to be doing that.

I guess Lindsay's story is not in the working anymore. It was kind of pushed aside after...stuff happened. So now Amy's writing a story to. Ask her for it. It's hilarious.

Beating of LDS teens stirs memories of hate group

The beating of two teens at a Gilbert neighborhood park has rattled town residents and reopened wounds that many local residents had thought were healed.
The teens were attacked Saturday evening at a neighborhood park in northwest Gilbert after being asked by a group of kids if they were Mormon, according to a police report. At least one was taken to the hospital to be treated for facial injuries.
Police have arrested two Mesquite High School students, 15 and 16, one of whom was on the Wildcats varsity football squad last fall. Both had swastikas carved in their wrists and are accused of making anti-Mormon statements.

He said his was trying to protect his younger brother, police said.

He said he knew one of his attackers.
"We do consider it a hate crime," Gilbert police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marino said Tuesday.
The Republic typically doesn't release the names of minors, as juvenile cases in Arizona are kept private.
The weekend attack has stirred up old memories of the Devil Dogs, a White supremacist group that emerged in the 1990s at Gilbert's Highland High. More than 35 people were arrested in 2000 in connection with the gang, which had ties to mobster Sammy "The Bull" Gravano and was accused in a series of beatings and drug trafficking.
That year, Gilbert police reported to the FBI that it handled 11 hate crimes - seven of them targeted victims because of their race.
Many of those arrested were children of upper-middle-class families in Gilbert.
The violence prompted a community-wide effort to address hate in the booming farm town. Groups such as Gilbert's Human Relations Commission was formed and the town's Citizens Action Network, which was already in existence, received increased interest and funding.
Tami Smull, a Gilbert resident and former commission chair, said she is saddened by the recent beating, and hopes community members can rally around one another and start a public discussion to address problems with prejudice.
"There are a lot of misunderstandings about all of the religious differences," Smull said.
"Whatever extent the community can establish some dialogue - some communication efforts to help us understand one another better - it will be for the greater benefit of the community."
The number of hate crimes reported by the town has ebbed since. In 2006, the most recent data kept by the FBI, there were three cases - one over race, another religion, and another sexual orientation.
Although the Devil Dogs are history, Smull said residents have to be vigilant.
"The only time we'll regress is if we stop working hard," Smull said, "because it's not going to go away."
Residents near the neighborhood park northeast of Elliot and McQueen roads declined to be interviewed Tuesday. Although temperatures were in the lower 80s - perfect for a play day in the park - no families could be found.
A 15-year-old Mesquite High sophmore said Tuesday the incidents is "appalling."
"If they have swastikas on their wrists, it looks like they are trying to be funny about it," Joshua Hsu said. "But it's not a funny thing."
School district officials think the case is an isolated incident but remain watchful.
Associate Superintendent Dave Allison said at this point, no one connected to the case has been expelled or suspended. However, Mesquite High officials have been meeting with parents on all sides.
Allison said the district is awaiting word from police to determine if it needs to take further action with the suspects.
"We're certainly going to be making sure that the students are kept away from each other," Allison said. "All the parents have been supportive of what we're doing.
Allison recalls that after the Devil Dogs arrests, the district launched an educational program with the Anti-Defamation League, an organization that tracks hate crimes. Students attend a program in the summer, and then they return to the classrooms in the fall and share what they've learned about prejudice with their peers.
Allison feels confident that students are safe.
"This is the first incident like this that we've had this year at any of our schools," he said.
He noted, too, that it happened on a weekend, away from campus.
Mayor Steve Berman called the attack "absolutely rotten," but said it isn't reflective of the Gilbert community.
"We're a city of 220,000 people and we have our share of nuts," he said.
Gilbert police officers are completing a final report detailing interviews with witnesses and the recommended charges to forward to county prosecutors.
The 16-year-old suspected attacker who was driving had a 0.137 blood alcohol content while the other, who was at .028, was not charged with underaged drinking..
It will be up to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office whether the two accused attackers will be tried as adults

This weekend has been incredibly strange.

I got like two hours of sleep last night, I was thinking about lots of stuff I guess.

Kat, Amy (maybe) and Cassie (maybe) wont be coming back to my school next year, there goes some of my closest friends.....I hope we'll all still be able to hang out, even if we dont go to the same schools....but idk.....seems like things are going to be really different.

Crammed Inside

Everything has been. I need to talk. The other option was myself. I think I'll forgo that one.

It used to be so close. Tight. Best friends. Us three. And now? Cuz someone thinks that others are so important, they need to change.
Isn't that what they tell you not to do? To stay true to yourself?
Never mind. You missed the memo. Way back there.

There's no way you know that I'm talking about you now. No way at all. Cuz I've learned to hide it. Very, very well. It's one of those masks. My favorite's the one with happiness and an everything-is-just-fine way of doing things.

I find it pathetic. Be yourself. But nooo. They might notice, and not like it. And change it. I tolerated it for about a week. Then I hit breaking point. And I'm still on the edge.
