this... very deep and sensitive... impressive
Day on the Curb
Remember that day
When we were on the curb
Talking about the one that was
Right for us
I had been waiting for this part
The part where I could tell you the truth
And you would agree
With me
I say, breathless
I found that person
And you say
Me too
My heart skips a beat,
And I wait
I say
You first
I think I regret that.
My eyes stay focused
But I go deaf with excitement
But I can tell by the way your mouth moves, on the face I memorized
It wasn’t my name you had said
I sit there
And pretend that im happy
But what I want to say is
Any one got a band –aid?
My hearts broken
The shards are stuck
And I don’t think ill ever get em out.
This sucks.
